2023 Ford Maverick Adds New Atlas Blue Metallic Color

The 2023 Ford Maverick adds two new exterior colors in its lineup: Avalanche Gray and Atlas Blue Metallic. Here is a first look at the latter, Atlas Blue Metallic.

Atlas Blue Metallic is tagged with paint code B3. It’s a no-cost option available in conjunction with all trim levels and interior color combinations offered on the 2023 Ford Maverick. As a reminder, the following list comprises all the exterior colors available for the Maverick:

  • Alto Blue Metallic
  • Area 51
  • Cactus Gray
  • Cyber Orange Metallic
  • Hot Pepper Red Metallic
  • Iconic Silver Metallic
  • Oxford White
  • Shadow Black
  • Avalanche Gray (new for 2023)
  • Atlas Blue Metallic (new for 2023)

The following are all available 2023 Ford Maverick trim levels:

  • XL
  • XLT
  • Lariat

Finally, all available interior colorways are as follows:

  • Black Onyx/Medium Dark Slate
  • Navy Pier/Medium Slate
  • Desert Brown
  • Black Onyx

The compact pickup receives a handful of updates for its second model year. Most notably, the Tremor Off-Road Package joins the lineup, which builds upon the existing FX4 Off-Road Package and includes a unique all-wheel drive system that utilizes a twin-clutch rear-drive unit with a differential lock feature, specially-tuned springs and shocks, upgraded half shafts, a heavy-duty transmission cooler, steel skid plates, unique dark gray anodized 17-inch aluminum wheels, standard all-terrain tires, and various Tremor Orange accents accents inside and out.

However, the forthcoming model year will also be a bit more expensive than its predecessor, although the fee for the turbocharged Ford 2.0L I-4 EcoBoost I4 was dropped. Additionally, the Maverick XL trim gains standard cruise control.

So far, the Maverick has proved to be a hit among customers. In fact, the number of orders placed for the 2023 Ford Maverick in September alone will likely exceeded its overall sales during calendar year 2022.

Like who gives a crap regarding a new Maverick color they can’t even produce them and n any color now. 12/18 month wait if you’re lucky. Maybe you need to recruit American workers to come and help with the production.

Whiz? Gee, how do you know it’s not American supplied components that are restricting final assy output ?

Stop being racist this has nothing to do where the vehicle is produced. That plant manufactures 1400+ vehicles a day

SJ, you are so full of it. There is no way you’ll see your vehicle before 2023 and more likely 2024. Dreamers like you is why Ford jacks us all around.

Wish you luck Eric but it makes no sense at all that you or sj will get a vehicle before hundreds of orders prior to you will get theirs. It’s just Ford showing their lack of respect for their customers by jerking them around providing false info. They are the worst customer relation people out there. That’s why you see so much frustration on these sites. People don’t trust them, and rightfully so. Go buy a new vehicle and enjoy it now.

I ordered my Maverick in January as a 2022. It was bumped to a 2023. Will I still pay 2022 pricing? Or will I get jacked with the 2023 increase?

Did your dealer contact you about rolling over your order to the next model year? According to all reporting, those whose orders weren’t fulfilled got a private offer from ford about the roll over.

Well, I like Velocity Blue, which is on my 22. Ordered a 23, tried to order Velocity, but ended up ordering Area 51. Atlas is ok, but just doesn’t pop like Velocity

I just don’t understand why FOMOCO can’t build vehicles. I have been driving new Fords for about 50 years. I wanted to buy a new truck last year and the salesman didn’t even want to talk about it.

I’m assuming build times are dependent on what options you order and whether or not the micro chips required for that option are currently available.

    1. RWFA

That’s pretty much the size of it. And it’s not just chips, there have been shortages of other components reported. The folks above should have had this explained to them by their dealer or, as I understand it, if their dealer had passed their email on to Ford, received info from Ford directly.

Can I still order a maverick or what?

I ordered 9/16/22 and was told they bumped my priority to 12 from 19. Whoop to do! Keeping the order but I bought a Santa Cruz base that’s dead nuts on the mark. If and when the 23 Hybrid comes in I will decide which one to keep. That Maverick better be a Cracker Jack because this SC is the real deal.

Why does’nt Ford take a closed plant and make it a Maverick plant to catch up production.

    1. RWFA

What plant where do you suggest?

      Reply
      1. JDE

Loraine Ohio maybe? Building still stands and is only partially leased at this time. also I have to suspect the E series plant up the road is likely to not last all the much longer either.

Hi, Currently own a Ford Explorer Limited 2014, with 98,000 miles.
I love the truck, but want to buy a newer Explorer with less miles. But ive been told to stay away from the 2020,2021 and 2022 Ford Explorers because of many many problems that occured during Covid times. Very serious problems.
Does anyone know when or what year Explorer is safe to buy?
Also, did the F150 Trucks have the problems?
    Thank You,
    Mike
