2021-2023 Ford F-150 Extreme Exhaust With Rear Exit Revealed

Ford F-150 owners looking for aftermarket upgrades have no shortage to choose from, whether they’re perusing the Ford Performance catalog or one of many third-party companies that make parts and accessories for the best-selling pickup. Exhaust systems are one of the more popular upgrades out there, and Ford already offers several of them – a Sport exhaust, a Touring model, and an Extreme side-exit setup, to be more specific. Now, The Blue Oval’s catalog has expanded yet again, this time with the addition of the 2021-2023 Ford F-150 Extreme rear-exit exhaust system.

The 2021-2023 Ford F-150 Extreme rear-exit exhaust system is available in two different finishes for the tips – chrome, under part number M-5200-FECR, and black, which is sold under part number M-5200-FEBR. Regardless of which way one goes, the price is the same – $1,980 – and the two exhaust systems are otherwise identical in every conceivable way.

These new Extreme rear-exit exhaust systems are compatible with all 2021-2023 Ford F-150 models with either the Ford 2.7L V6 EcoBoost, Ford 3.5L V6 EcoBoost, and Ford 5.0L V8 Coyote engines – not the Ford 3.5L V6 PowerBoost hybrid, however. They’re also compatible with trucks sporting a 145″ or 157″ wheelbase – it won’t fit trucks with a 122″ or 141″ wheelbase – though the 157″ option requires a mid-pipe extension sold under part number M-5248-FEXT.

Constructed from 304 stainless steel, Ford’s Extreme F-150 exhaust is the loudest set of pipes that it currently sells for the pickup, and is designed and tuned to provide an aggressive and throaty high-performance sound. The dual rear exit setup features four-inch exhaust tips and is designed by the automaker specifically to fit these trucks, so quality should be top notch. As for how it sounds, well, as we can hear in this video, the 2.7L pickup is certainly louder than stock, which is sure to appease some owners.

    1. But you do know Ford would have loved your vehicle to have those features were it possible to deliver them, don’t you?

On the bright side, I’m glad your 2021 took one for the team so that, despite your complaints, you are here to be able to do that.
