2023 Ford Escape ST-Line Elite: Live Photo Gallery

The 2023 Ford Escape received a refresh for the new model year, which the company officially revealed in full at the end of October. Part of the refresh includes a revamped trim level lineup, one of which is the sporty ST-Line series. Ford Authority was able to get up close and personal with an Escape ST-Line Elite at the crossover’s reveal event, giving us a first good look at what the new trim level has to offer.

This particular 2023 Ford Escape ST-Line Elite is finished in the sporty Rapid Red Metallic exterior color, while under the hood, it features the Ford 2.0L I4 EcoBoost engine. It sports the snazzy coast-to-coast lighting elements that span the length of the front fascia, highlighting the upper portion of the grille. It also has front parking sensors for safety when pulling into a parking space. This 2023 Escape ST-Line rolls on a set of 19-inch machined-face Ebony-painted aluminum wheels. Looking at the side of the vehicle reveals that it has a SecuriCode keyless entry pad for ease of access.

Out back, this 2023 Ford Escape ST-Line sports the Class II Trailer Package, which adds handy features to make trailering easier and safer. It also has the 360-degree cameras with front and rear washers to give a bird’s eye view of the crossover’s surroundings.

Inside, this particular crossover features a host of interior upgrades, which are new for the Escape ST-Line, such as the 13.2-inch Sync 4 touchscreen, wireless smartphone charging pad, auto-dimming rearview mirror, rain-sensing wipers, and unique interior accents on the door panels. Additionally, it features the Premium Technology Package, which includes the following content:

  • Active Park Assist 2.0
  • B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen, 10 speakers including subwoofer
  • HD Radio
  • Head-up display
  • Leather trimmed seats with Quilting Design and Mini-Perforation with Red Stitch

Interestingly, The Blue Oval “right-sized” sales of the Ford Escape, meaning that the automaker purposefully scaled back production in response to a downturn in customer demand. However, that doesn’t mean the Escape isn’t an appealing vehicle. The 2023 Ford Escape Hybrid made Consumer Reportslist of recommended vehicles. Considering that the Escape ST-Line Elite features that hybridized powertrain, the crossover is a good buy.

The trim on the st escape looks very nice.
Has Ford addressed and solved the eco
Boost engine block leak problems that have plagued this engine .That seems to be a more pressing issue versus the trim

The 2.0L hasn’t been “plagued.” The 1.5L is the problem and its not available on the ST Line.

Do you actually think the trim department fixes engine issues?

The faulty block design in the 2017 & 2018 ecoboost engines has been modified to eliminate the coolant intrusion problem.

Call me when Ford puts the 3.6L ecoboost engine in the Escape, otherwise, ho-hum.
