The 2023 Ford Super Duty debuted in late September, while order banks for the redesigned truck opened up on October 27th. However, in just the first five days they were open, Ford secured a whopping 52,000 orders for the brand new model – which averages out to a little over 10,000 orders per day. The popular pickup remains a regular on Kelley Blue Book’s most considered vehicles list as well, so it’s no surprise that demand for the 2023 Ford Super Duty remained strong in November as FoMoCo racked up a large number of additional orders for its new model, according the the automaker’s most recent sales report.
Since order banks opened just over a month ago, The Blue Oval has taken a total of 150,000 orders for the 2023 Ford Super Duty – an astounding number by any measure. This phenomenon is nothing new – the majority of Super Duty sales have come from previously-placed orders for several consecutive months now, and the automaker continues to break its own record for retail orders, too. However, Ford cut off 2022 Super Duty orders back in April, so it will be interesting to see how long 2023 order banks stay open, given this strong interest from consumers early on.
The 2023 Ford Super Duty marks a complete redesign for the long-running model, which has received new exterior and interior styling, a host of tech features, and a brand new base powerplant. A variety of improvements and more power result in some pretty impressive max payload and tow ratings, a critical component in this particular segment, too.
In terms of availability, initial Job 1 2023 Ford Super Duty production will begin in early 2023 for XL, XLT, and Lariat trims in all cab configurations, engines, and series, from the F-250 up to the F-600. Meanwhile, Job 2 2023 Super Duty production for King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited trims will follow in the spring of 2023.
We’ll have more on the 2023 Super Duty soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford F-Series news, Ford Super Duty news, and comprehensive Ford news coverage.
