The 2024 Ford Mustang marks the first model year of the pony car’s S650 generation, featuring a host of new updates to enhance the lineup. After its introduction, Ford Authority has spotted several examples of the new Mustang, including several base Mustang EcoBoost models. So far, we’ve spotted a coupe finished in red, as well as a convertible. We’ve spotted yet another Mustang EcoBoost, this time wearing multi-spoke wheels, the first time we’ve seen these rollers on the pony car.
This particular vehicle appears to be a 2024 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Premium featuring 19-inch wheels, although it could also be a base EcoBoost wearing optional extra-cost wheels. As a reminder, the Mustang EcoBoost features the Ford 2.3L I4 EcoBoost engine, the latest version of the turbocharged powerhouse. Additionally, it is exclusively offered with the automaker’s 10-speed automatic transmission, as the six-speed manual transmission was dropped from the lineup.
While it does share some mechanical underpinnings with the outgoing sixth-generation model, the 2024 Ford Mustang represents far more than a simple refresh. Not only does it look vastly different from previous renditions of the pony car, but it features a stiffer chassis with an all-new steering and suspension system. It has been sculpted to lend a more upright, boxier appearance, and its interior was entirely redesigned from the ground up to feature a cockpit befitting of such a sporty vehicle.
Aside from the new turbocharged engine for the Mustang EcoBoost, a second engine is also all-new for the forthcoming Mustang. That is the Ford 5.0L Coyote V8 engine, which can be found under the hood of the high-performance 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse. This pony car will take The Blue Oval back to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, marking Ford’s return to the event since the 2019 running

1. Judging by the low profile sidewall height, could these be 20” wheels?
2. Great to see wheels that are NOT black or brake-dust grey! We get to see all the wonderful design details.
Agree. Nice looking set.
Looks great. I liked the minimalist stripes on EcoBoost 2021. Hope they are included. After 11 GT S550’s we have decided go go EcoBoost in 2024. Fuel prices!
