Greenlight Collectibles has revealed a host of Blue Oval-based die-cast models in recent months, including Ford Mustang Mach-E New York taxi and police pilot vehicle replicas, as well as the 1986 Ford Taurus that appeared in the movie Tommy Boy. Now, that same company has turned its attention to the 1979 Ford Mustang that starred in the hit TV series Charlie’s Angels, though it wasn’t the only pony car that showed up in that particular show.

This new 1:18 scale 1979 Ford Mustang Charlie’s Angels replica joins a pair of other offerings from that show that are already available as well – a 1:18 scale 1976 Ford Mustang Cobra II and a 1:64 scale model of the same vehicle. It’s finished in Medium Red with black side stripes and is set to launch in May, so for now, all we have are these sample photos to go by.
Charlie’s Angels started out as a TV series that ran for five seasons from 1976-1981 and followed the crime-fighting adventures of three women working at a private detective agency in Los Angeles, California – who were originally played by Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and Jaclyn Smith. The cast changed up a bit in ensuing years, and even though the show was a top 10 hit in its first two seasons, its popularity wore off shortly thereafter.
Regardless, the show became a cult hit of sorts, and spawned a pair of new films in 2000 and 2003, as well as a short-lived TV reboot. However, Charlie’s Angels still has its fair share of fans to this day, and we imagine that quite a few of them will be intrigued by this latest die-cast offering.
We’ll have more cool die-cast models to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Mustang news and non-stop Ford news coverage.

What about Kelly’s beige 1976 Ghia Mustang II? Sabrina’s 1976 Pinto? Bosley’s 1977 green Thunderbird?
I’m gettin’ me one of the 1/18 scale. Have an 1985 GT and have always wanted something close!
I lived through that period but must admit that TIL that Charlie’s Angels made it to the Fox based Mustang era.
Four lugs and TRX metric wheels!
Can’t wait, how accurate is the May timetable?
