The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, California is a veritable dream for automotive enthusiasts, as it’s always chock full of cool, interesting, and historically notable vehicles, with exhibits that change out on a regular basis to keep things fresh. Recently, Ford Authority was able to check out the Petersen up close, giving us a look at rides such as the 2001 Lincoln MK 9 Concept, 2017 Ford Bronco RTR racer, and the 2003 Mercury Messenger Concept. Now, we have yet another cool machine to show off – this 2021 Ford Bronco design study model.
Fans of the sixth-generation Bronco will instantly notice that this particular model is equipped with some few features that aren’t present on production models, including its small front push bar, LED light bar, Method wheels, and BFGoodrich KM3 mud-terrain tires, to name just a few. Inside the cabin, this 2021 Ford Bronco design study features a two-tone brown and black interior with Cyber Orange accents to match the exterior paint color, which also adorns the front grille’s “Bronco” lettering and tow hooks.
Otherwise, this particular design study is pretty true to the production version of the sixth-gen Bronco, which has received a tremendously positive response from the public since its debut – and even prior to that, in a variety of customer clinics designed to gauge people’s responses to new models. In fact, the 2021 Bronco went on to win an IF Design Gold Award from iF International Forum Design GmbH, a company based in Germany that provides design-related services.
As Ford Authority previously reported, the sixth-gen Bronco was designed using some unconventional methods, using a human-centered design process that included conjuring up drawings of people in little vignettes – or scenes showing how they would presumably use their new Bronco in real life. Clearly, that approach paid off, as the rugged SUV has been a smash hit since the day it launched, and hasn’t cooled off yet.
We’ll have more cool vehicles from the Petersen to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Bronco news and around-the-clock Ford news coverage.
