2023 Ford Mustang Build & Price Is Finally Live

The all-new, next-generation 2024 Ford Mustang was revealed just a few months ago, paving the way for the S650 generation to take over for the current, S550-gen pony car when it officially launches in the U.S. this summer. However, there are at least some that will undoubtedly still want to purchase a 2023 Ford Mustang, even though order banks for the last S550-gen model closed early last month. For those folks – or anyone that just wants to build their ultimate dream pony car, virtually speaking – the 2023 Ford Mustang build and price configuration is finally live.

The 2023 Ford Mustang closes out the S550 generation with few changes, and is available in EcoBoost, GT, and Mach 1 form, as the Shelby GT500 bowed out after the 2022 model year. Customers can opt for the base EcoBoost or EcoBoost Premium models in either fastback (coupe) or convertible body styles, while the GT is only available in fastback form – those that want a V8-powered drop top 2023 Mustang can opt for the GT Premium, however.

The new range-topping model, by default, is now the Mach 1, which can be had in regular or Premium form, though only as a fastback – not a convertible. For 2023, the Mustang has dropped two exterior colors – Cyber Orange Metallic and Brittany Blue Metallic – but there are no other changes for the exterior or interior. Additionally, the turbocharged Ford 2.3L I4 EcoBoost and naturally-aspirated Ford 5.0L V8 Coyote engines carry over unchanged, too.

In terms of packages, the 2023 Ford Mustang is still available with the Ice White Appearance Package, even though it was discontinued for the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E. Those that prefer a darker look can opt for the Nite Pony Package, which replaced the outgoing Black Accent Package last year.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

Great! Now it would be nice if they finished the Super Duty configurator.

Just tried the website. It is SO SLOW it’s maddening.

Just ridiculous, and another major #FAIL.

Can’t seem to build a Mach 1 with the handling package. What’s up with that?

Last chance to get a brand new entry level Mustang with a manual transmission…such a shame it is going away for the new model, made me lose a little respect for Ford.
