2023 Ford Ranger Retail Orders To Be Shut Off Next Week

The next-generation Ford Ranger has already launched in a number of international markets, and is set to arrive in the U.S. this year for the 2024 model year, as Ford Authority previously reported. In the meantime, the 2023 Ford Ranger soldiers on in America with just a handful of small changes to the mid-size truck’s lineup. Order banks for the 2023 model year Ranger opened up last summer, with production kicking off in October, but it seems as if the current-gen model’s run will end soon, as Ford Authority has learned that 2023 Ford Ranger customer retail orders will be shut off next week.

The final day to submit new retail orders for the 2023 Ranger will be Thursday, January 26th, 2023 at 10pm Eastern time, after which order submission is set to be turned off. This is being done in preparation for the all-new, 2024 model, which is expected to enter production at the Ford Michigan Assembly Plant in May of 2023. Customers whose 2023 Ranger orders aren’t selected for production will not receive any sort of model year transition offer, and will need to reorder a 2024 model instead. Dealers will be able to modify existing retail orders after order banks have closed, however.

Meanwhile, dealers have until 10pm Eastern on February 9th, 2023 to complete the Customer Order Verification Process. This does not mean that those same entities won’t still be able to place orders for 2023 Ranger dealer stock, as they will be able to continue to do so for the remainder of the model year. However, those orders must be selected for scheduling within existing supply chain constraints.

The 2023 Ford Ranger did receive a few small changes for the new model year, including the addition of two new exterior colors – Azure Gray Metallic and Eruption Green Metallic Tri-Coat – though it also dropped four other hues from the lineup – Avalanche, Cyber Orange Metallic, Desert Sand, and Forged Green Metallic. Other changes include the addition of the all-new Splash Jungle Edition Package, as well as the introduction of a depopulated key option.

This is what happens when you set a factory overseas to take advantage of cheap labor. But on the other hand you expect the American people to pay you top of dollar for your product. Now I know why so many Americans are buying a Honda or other foreign made auto, there cheaper. Get your act together or leave this country.
