2024 Ford Mustang Coupe In Red With Black Appearance: Photos

Since its official debut this past September, Ford Authority has spotted a large number of 2024 Ford Mustang EcoBoost and GT models out driving around wearing all sorts of colors and equipped with different option packages. That list includes a variety of pony cars finished in Rapid Red, including a base EcoBoost, an EcoBoost with the Performance Pack, an EcoBoost convertible, and a GT convertible. Earlier this week, Ford Authority spotted a Vapor Blue 2024 Ford Mustang – this time an EcoBoost convertible equipped with blacked-out trim for the very first time – and now, this Race Red 2024 Ford Mustang coupe adds to that list as yet another one equipped with those same dark-colored accents.

It’s unclear if the black trim present on this 2024 Ford Mustang EcoBoost convertible is a continuation of the Nite Pony Package – which just debuted for the 2023 model year, replacing the Black Accent Package – or if it’s something new entirely. Regardless, with the popularity of similar packages exploding in recent years, the fact that something similar would be available on the redesigned pony car was pretty much a foregone conclusion.

2024 Ford Mustang customers can choose from 11 different exterior colors, including two news one – the aforementioned Vapor Blue and Yellow Splash. Additionally, the redesigned pony car is available with a variety of new stripe colors and designs, as well as wheel options ranging from 17 inches to 20 inches in diameter and three different brake caliper color choices – black, red, and Grabber Blue.

On the outside, the S650 retains the same basic profile as the current, S550-gen pony car, but the 2024 Ford Mustang EcoBoost and GT models represent more than a simple refresh, with both sporting distinctive styling that makes each easy to distinguish from the other. The 2024 Ford Mustang GT is also equipped with larger, more aggressive grille openings that are engineered to increase airflow, as well as new hood vents and a redesigned front splitter.

Numerous changes have also taken place inside the cabin, where the next-generation Mustang has received a comprehensive makeover that gives it a fighter jet-inspired cockpit sporting a flat-bottom steering wheel, a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster, and a new 13.2-inch infotainment screen running Sync 4.

Under the hood, base 2024 Ford Mustang models such as this one are equipped with a brand new version of the twin-turbocharged Ford 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost engine, which is rated to produce 315 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. However, unlike the S550-gen Mustang, the EcoBoost can only be paired with the 10-speed automatic transmission – not the six-speed manual, which is still available in the V8-powered GT.

The all-new, redesigned 2024 Ford Mustang will continue to be produced at the Flat Rock Assembly plant in Michigan. The next-gen pony car is currently scheduled to launch in the U.S. in the summer of 2023, followed by Europe later next year.

Looks good-but I’m sure most will hate it on here as usual.

Absolute fire. Race red looks great on S650.

The more photos I see of the new car, the more I like the current version. Hoping my impression changes when I see the real thing. The one thing I will continue to dislike is the huge digital dash. Ok on a luxury car but not appropriate for a sporty car.

Black wheels don’t cut it. Oh, BTW what happened to the wheel covers? Car looks vandalized.
