Ford Bronco Sport Recalled Over ABS Module Leak Issue

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2023 Ford Bronco Sport models over an ABS module leak issue.

The defect: in affected vehicles, valves inside the anti-lock brake system module may have been damaged during manufacturing, causing an internal ABS module leak.

The hazards: a leak inside the ABS module can cause an unexpected increase in brake pedal travel or unexpected movement during an Auto Hold event, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries related to this condition.

Components: ABS module

Affected vehicles: select 2023 Ford Bronco Sport models produced between December 8th, 2022, and December 16th, 2022.

Number of vehicles affected: 801

The fix: dealers will replace the ABS Module, free of charge.

Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin February 15th, 2023. The Ford reference number for this recall is 23S01.

    Ford should have these part suppliers pay for the recalls since they are at fault, it seems so many parts are not being made to quality standards by these parts suppliers, are these parts suppliers also not training there employees to assemble parts properly?
