Ford F-150 Named Top Rated Truck By Edmunds For Third Year

Long a perennially best-selling model for The Blue Oval, the Ford F-150 has also earned its fair share of accolades over the years, a list that includes a Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Award in the full-size truck category, as well as ranking as Edmunds’ top-rated truck for 2022. Now, the Ford F-150 has repeated that latter feat, once again finishing as the top-rated such vehicle for 2023 – the third consecutive year it has earned that honor.

Edmunds Top Rated Award winners are selected by the organization’s editorial team based on opinions gathered during its vehicle testing and ranking process. Edmunds’ editors selected the overall winners from a group of finalists that consisted of each of the highest-ranked eligible new vehicles as of November 1st, 2022, in their respective classes. Eligible vehicles must have undergone the full Edmunds testing process by November 1st, 2022, and be available for sale as new on January 1st, 2023.

Edmunds cited many reasons for its selection this time around, ranging from the F-150’s dizzying array of configurations and powertrains to its capability, comfort, and loads of innovative features, including Pro Power Onboard, as well as the Interior Work Surface. Ultimately, the rag noted that the Ford F-150 “simply does it better than any truck on the market,” which helped it beat out the other two finalists in this particular category – the Hyundai Santa Cruz and Honda Ridgeline.

“For decades, the Ford F-150 has been America’s workhorse, and it’s never been in better shape,” said Edmunds Editor-in-Chief Alistair Weaver. “It’s more innovative, more appealing to drive, and more versatile than ever before. Nobody understands the needs of the modern truck buyer better than Ford and nobody builds a better truck.”
