In 2022 the Ford F-Series line of pickups continued its dominant streak by once again finishing the year as the best-selling truck in the U.S. for the 46th consecutive time, as well as the best-selling vehicle overall for the 41st straight year. This tremendous success can be attributed to a variety of factors, including loyalty among F-Series owners – which is among the highest in the industry – prompting owners to return to the brand when it’s time to purchase a new vehicle, rather than defecting to another brand. As such, it’s no surprise to learn that Ford was named the most trusted truck brand in the 2023 BrandSpark American Trust Study, too.
On top of being named the most trusted brand for crossovers in this new study, Ford also came in as the most trusted truck brand, earning it a win in that particular category in the quite expansive 2023 BrandSpark Most Trusted Awards. This year’s winning brands were determined via a national survey of 19,752 American shoppers who expressed which brands they trust the most and why in categories they have recently shopped. The 2023 BrandSpark American Trust Study is the most extensive study of brand trust across consumer categories, examining 215 product and service categories.
In what is undoubtedly one of the most important new vehicle segments in today’s automotive market, this is a big achievement, and one that is ripe for improvement given the current state of the industry – particularly with inflation causing the price of goods to rise significantly in recent months.
“As prices for consumer goods and services have increased substantially over the past number of years due to inflation and supply chain issues, consumers are much more likely to choose brands they trust the most to bring them great quality, service and value even when faced with less expensive alternatives” said Robert Levy, President and CEO of BrandSpark International.
