The Ford Authority Take

Ford Transit Connect sales in the third quarter of 2022 demonstrate the healthy amount of demand for the vehicle, as supplier constraints and other production issues continue to ease. It’s worth noting that the Transit Connect and its chief rival, the ProMaster City, have taken over sales volume for the discontinued NV, bolstering sales of both vehicles.

However, it’s important to note that the Transit Connect will soon exit the U.S. market, perhaps as soon as 2024. However, that may not mean that The Blue Oval will withdraw completely from the compact van segment in North America. In fact, it’s highly likely that the Transit Connect will be indirectly replaced by the Transit Custom in the near future. The compact van will live on in Europe, albeit as a rebadged Volkswagen.
