Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 Sherco Edition Officially Debuts

Hennessey Performance has long churned out hopped-up versions of numerous Blue Oval models – most recently, the third-gen Ford F-150 Raptor based VelociRaptor 6×6, as well as the VelociRaptor 1000, which is based on the V8-powered F-150 Raptor R. Now, the Texas-based tuner has teamed up with a well-known enduro motorcycle maker to create something new and special – the Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 Sherco Edition.

The Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 Sherco Edition is based on the “regular” VelociRaptor 600, but features a host of enhancements designed to appeal to the off-road motorcycle enthusiast. On the outside, that includes a unique Sherco racing livery, a Risk Racing bed rack that can transport two motorcycles, a bed extender that doubles as a bike loading ramp, a five-gallon fuel jug and mount for keeping those two-wheelers going in the boonies, and six-piston Brembo brakes for additional stopping power.

In terms of the corresponding Sherco bike, customers can opt for either the two-stroke 300 SE or four-stroke 300 SEF, both of which feature single-cylinder liquid-cooled engines. The Hennessey Sherco motorcycles are equipped with an upgraded compression head –  the SEF gets a Race Tech race head – along with an upgraded radiator and rear rotor guards from BulletProof designs, an AXP Racing skid plate with linkage protection, enduro grips, and S3 perch clamps.

Otherwise, the Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 Sherco Edition gets all of the mechanical enhancements of the regular model, including an enhanced version of the twin-turbocharged Ford 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine with an upgraded air induction setup, a high-capacity intercooler with a blow-off valve, and a tweaked engine-management system. Output comes in at 558 horsepower and 672 pound-feet of torque, which is good for a 0-60 time of 4.2 seconds and 12.9-second passes in the quarter-mile. The complete package – motorcycles included – costs $205,000.
