2020 Lincoln Corsair Among Most Reliable Three Year Old Cars

The Lincoln Corsair has earned its fair share of praise from Consumer Reports in recent years, ranking highly in its member surveys and  landing on last month’s list of the top 10 most reliable vehicles. Now, the consumer organization is once again lavishing praise on the luxury crossover – this time, the 2020 Lincoln Corsair, specifically – which has made the cut as one of the most reliable three-year-old cars. It also joins another Lincoln model on that same list – the MKZ sedan.

As is typically the case with CR studies, this one takes a look at modern vehicles that are just a few years old for some very good reasons – these vehicles have already depreciated somewhat, yet still offer modern performance, amenities, and safety features. Many three-year-old vehicles are also being turned in following the end of their lease terms, and as such, have fewer miles on the clock and are more likely to be in good condition.

To come up with these rankings, Consumer Reports looked to its annual auto surveys completed by members, seeking to find the models with the highest reliability score that fall within this particular date range. In that regard, the 2020 Lincoln Corsair made the cut thanks to its stellar reliability ratings from owners, but also because CR found it to be a “far better SUV” than the MKC that it replaced.

Consumer Reports also praised the Corsair’s comfortable ride, quiet cabin, solid performance, responsive handling, roomy back seat, superior fit and finish, easy-to-use controls and infotainment system, and standard safety features including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning. On the downside, CR did criticize the Corsair’s uneven front seat support and unintuitive push button gear selector, however.

  1. Nice… did they mention it has the worst resale value too? Normally this would be great news, however Lincoln has no pre owned secondary market to speak of. I love Lincolns but understand you are giving your money away to own one.

  3. When will the 2023 Corsair begin production? I placed my order at the end of October and I haven’t heard a word other than my order was accepted into the system.
