2023 Ford Bronco Sport Painted Roof Availability Changed

Currently in its third model year of production, the Ford Bronco Sport added a few updates for the 2023 model year, though most things remained the same, as expected. Initially, that included the black-painted roof, which was standard equipment on the 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands and Outer Banks trims. However, sources familiar with the matter have told Ford Authority that 2023 Ford Bronco Sport painted roof availability has now changed for both of those models.

The 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks and Badlands will no longer come with black-painted roofs as standard equipment. Instead, they will get the body-color roof treatment as standard, which until this point was standard on Base and Big Bend trims. However, it is worth noting that buyers can still order a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks or Badlands with a painted roof, as going forward, it will be optional, in the form of the Painted Shadow Black Roof option, which is available under order code 21S.

Aside from this most recent change, the 2023 Ford Bronco Sport is also gaining the new Heritage and Heritage Limited models, which are retro-inspired tributes to the original 1966 Bronco and feature a host of Oxford White accents, along with various other unique touches. The Bronco Sport also adds five new exterior colors for the 2023 model year, while deleting two other hues, though the rearview camera washer has been completely removed from the lineup.

Memory seats and sideview mirrors are now standard equipment on the 2023 Bronco Sport Outer Banks, Heritage Limited, and with the Badlands Premium Package, while the reduced capacity amp option was added amid supply chain shortages. Otherwise, 2023 Bronco Sport buyers can also opt for the new Black Diamond Off-Road Package, as well as a handful of new graphics packages.

Not 100% true. You can only get the body-colored roof if you opt for carbonized gray or shadow black as the body color.
