2023 Ford Maverick Pricing Raised For All Trims

Entering its second year of production, the Ford Maverick remains one of the most desirable – and elusive – new vehicles on the market, one that faces a long backlog of unfilled orders. Ford made a few changes to the compact pickup for the new model year, keeping it fresh and interesting, all of which showed up in the Maverick build and price configurator when it launched last October. That includes 2023 Ford Maverick pricing – which increased by a little over $1,000 for all trims at that time. Now, the 2023 Maverick has once again gotten more expensive, for the second time in the past few months.

2023 Ford Maverick Price Changes
2023 Ford Maverick Price – Febuary 1st, 2023 2023 Ford Maverick Price – September 19, 2022 + / – September 2022 Price
XL $22,595 $22,195 +$400
XLT $24,855 $24,455 +$400
Lariat $28,355 $27,955 +$400
Destination $1,595 $1,495 +$100

This time around, Maverick prices have increased by a smaller margin of $400 across the board for XL, XLT, and Lariat trims. Additionally, destination and delivery charges have risen by $100, making each of these models $500 more expensive to purchase. It also means that the base XL – which originally started out right around $20k – now costs $22,595, at a minimum.

Those in the market for a 2023 Ford Maverick will find a handful of changes have taken place for the new model year, starting with the fact that the turbocharged Ford 2.0L I-4 EcoBoost I-4 is now a no-cost option on all trims, while Lariat EcoBoost models come standard with all-wheel drive.

Also new for 2023 is the Black Appearance Package, as well as the Tremor Off-Road Package and Tremor Off-Road Appearance Package. Additionally, XL-trimmed Mavericks have gained standard cruise control for 2023, while the XLT Luxury Package has dropped several features that were formerly available, and the Maverick is gaining a depopulated key, as Ford Authority recently reported. However, supply constraints currently affect nearly every option available on the compact pickup.

I finally got my email from Ford saying my 23 Lariat Maverick is scheduled for the end of March. I was thinking I wouldn’t get it until June/July. Then they sent another email saying middle of March. Even sooner. But with transportation I am thinking I won’t see it until April.

Yes! Last week! As usual it was worthless information with generic message. All my updates come from calls I initiate to Ford directly or visits to my dealer. Here it is:
Thank you again for your Maverick LARIAT order. We wanted to let you know that we are still up against supply chain challenges, which are causing delays with getting your vehicle into production. While we understand how frustrated you may be (we are too), rest assured, our team is working diligently and aggressively to get you behind the wheel.

We know how much anticipation there is when it comes to getting a new Ford, so we will continue to keep you updated. In the meantime, we apologize for any inconvenience and remain grateful for your patience and understanding.

It would be nice if there was a discussion board that people could post when they get their truck (and when they ordered). That way we might see some trend of deliveries.

I ordered in April 2022. Got confirmation email in September 2022 that my order was upgraded to a 2023 model and I would hear further when scheduled for production. Last email was 12/29/22 saying they’re still having supply chain issues.

You’ll see that on here from time to time. Ordered my Mav Lariat 2022 Hybrid 11/10/21. They rolled it into the 2023 model past fall. I have been given vin# and 6 build dates. Latest couple of calls to For are encouraging but a bit conflicting. One time build date 2/19. Someone told be then it would be 2/15. Then someone told me it was built waiting to ship, arrival est 2/15. Then someone told me it was not finished and date was 2/9-15…Will visit my dealer this afternoon and do my “every 2-3 month visit”. Worst communication in a vehicle rollout EVER. We KNOW supply chain issues slowed it down, but at least all need to get on the same page!

If your truck is routed (rail) through San Antonio, that is best bet. I was told Dallas and Houston distribution points were backed up…

Add dealer markup to this price and you might was well buy a Ranger. Ford is becoming my least favorite brand for not being able to control their dealers.

I’ve been given a certificate number from Ford worth $2750 which is applied at purchase day which brings price back to original purchase price (or close).

We should get the price discount for grief and aggravation.

Ordered lariat hybrid 10/26/21, got it 01/4/23, deleted options I ordered oct. 2022, soon after got a build date, vin.#, and delivery date within a 5 day span. Got a finance rate of 9 percent from the dealer, lowballed trade in for my car. My credit score was 869, perfect is 850, told me special financing ended day before I picked up my truck? Gas mileage is down to 39.7, doesn’t like cold weather, heated seats and steering wheel are very good, seats are pretty good, too much air in tires, 43 lbs. rides a little rough, will lower air pressure, sill height a little high, I’m 79, wife has a hard time getting in. Does not link to my garage door opener, that should be standard. The truck does exactly what I bough it for, great mileage, very versatile, happy with the truck but not with Ford or dealer bull$hit with no communication worth a $hit. Did get a rebate after they raised price but still payed $500. 00 for the spray in bed liner that was standard or my original onset.

Perhaps I haven’t paid enough attention to the competition but I’m becoming very skeptical/negative about FORD. They’ve had umpteen recalls across the line, they keep raising prices, and changing their business model to squeeze as much as possible out of the consumer, etc.

I ordered mine Lariat Hybrid on August 2021. Ford subsequently canceled that order without informing me. 🙄
My dealership reordered the vehicle as a 2023 last summer. However, this year, I’m getting the informationless form email, which is a step up from being ignored the previous model year. But still no real commitment to information i.e. your vehicle is #500,000 of 350,000 we are planning to build. Yes, I’m being sarcastic, but Ford you’ve earned sarcasm. 18 months is a long time to wait with basically zero usable information. 🤷‍♂️

$1595 for delivery. That’s an absolute rip off. That’s probably another $1000 profit for Ford.

I was really worried about ordering a Ford Maverick, But I did on Sep 17 2022 ordered it from Ted Russell in Knoxville Tn. Ford confirmed the order that day. Ford sent emails when it was in production the day it was built and the day it was shipped. I received it January 15 2023. It hybrid lariat luxury. I guess I’m lucky after hearing all the bad news/ problems people are having.

Ted Russell Ford in Knoxville TN is the worst dealer in the country. They will sell your maverick out from under you to anyone who walks in from the street.

WoW … mixed bag of orders and build dates.
Seems 14 months was common and looks like old 2021/2 orders will be building until spring. I ordered xlt hybrid during last September 4 day window and haven’t had any Ford communication. Dealership said Canada is not a priority. I’m not interested in removing options (Lux and 360).
I’m actually considering a different direction with a Tesla 3 after their major price slash. A truck would be awesome but I’m not continuing with the gas $$ I’m spending with my Ford Edge (that is dying with a leaking water pump).
Thanks for your updates… keep them coming!!

Sad stories all around. I orderd Aug. 29 2021 xlt wife liked Lariat so Dec 10 orderd Lariat. Grandaughter was going to buy the xlt. September 26 the Lariat came in best new car buy ever. Grandaughter could not wait for the truck, she bought a Jeep in June. The xlt arrived at Hilibsh Ford Nov 14 went to buy they wa ted me to sign paper not to sell truck for 1 year. After grandaughter could not buy it the young man across street wanted it to replace a 1999 Ranger his parents were going to help him. I would not sign because I was going to sell it. Hilbish Forf in Kannapolis NC wanted up charge me $1,600 nwe price. My neighbor thought that would work. However Hilbish Ford wanted to add a $5,000 markup. The sales manager would not move any on price. They blacked mailed us to get our truck. They said if we sell the xlt they would sue us for the difference. So we walked away, we have our Maverick and we love it still over 41 mpg. Hilbish Ford are not honorable people will not see me again.

Can you even order a 2023 Maverick at this time? Why post a price increase if they are probably not going to be able to fill all the existing orders and are not taking any more?
