Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R Gets Limited Edition Diecast Model

Many Blue Oval models have been immortalized in die-cast form in recent years, including the Ford Mustang Boss Hoss Hot Wheels Red Line Club offering, a custom 1962 Ford F-100, and a 1932 Ford coupe street rod, to name just a few. Now, that list continues to grow, as Red Line Club members are once again getting the chance to purchase a die-cast replica of a cool and historic model – this time, a custom version of the 1993 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R, which launches on February 28th.

Like all Red Line Club offerings, this 1993 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R is only available to RLC members. Signing up is relatively affordable at just $9.99 per year, however, and RLC members get the chance to purchase limited-edition models such as this one, along with enjoying special experiences and various other quirks and privileges.

It’s worth noting that this Fox Body Cobra R is quite a bit different than its real-world counterpart, sporting a Spectraflame true black paint job in place of the stock red. The windows are tinted in Smoke, while the chassis is finished in matte black with some painted details for contrast’s sake. Rolling on a set of six-spoke Real Riders wheels, the Cobra R features cool details such as an opening hood, red stripes, and authentic logos, too.

The engine bay, as one might imagine, is also detailed quite nicely, and the interior is finished in Cool Gray and black for a realistic look. The price for all this goodness is $25, and that includes an embroidered patch and a glossy pin to boot. Members are limited to one die-cast purchase each, though households can buy up to five in total, if one has other family members that are also part of RLC and love pony cars as much as we do.

We’ll have more cool diecast models like this to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Mustang news and ongoing Ford news coverage.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
