These days, most every Blue Oval product is facing supply chain constraints of some sort, prompting the automaker to take action to circumvent those issues and continue producing vehicles. This includes the 2023 Ford Bronco Sport, which has seen a few changes to the availability of certain features in recent months, a direct result of various shortages. Now, sources familiar with the matter have told Ford Authority that certain 2023 Ford Bronco Sport trim levels will be getting different floor mats for this very same reason, too.
This change pertains to 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands and Heritage Limited trims that come equipped with carpeted floor mats with Bronco Sport logos stitched into them, which are currently in short supply. As such, customers taking delivery of these particular models will be receiving them with front floor mats that don’t feature a Bronco Sport logo, and are being asked to sign an acknowledgement form informing them that this is the case.
However, Ford will be giving affected customers 15,000 FordPass Rewards points within four to six weeks for their troubles, which can be used to purchase items of their choice. Additionally, affected vehicles will be retrofitted with the branded floor mats at a later date when that particular part becomes available. Currently, this shortage affects all 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands and Heritage Limited models produced after February 24th, and is expected to last into early April.
In addition to this change, 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks and Badlands models also recently saw a update to the availability of their black-painted roofs, which was previously offered as standard equipment, but now that same feature is optional. 2023 Bronco Sport production also recently added the Reduced Capacity Amplifier option into the lineup, which is required when the regular amp is not available.
We’ll have more on the Bronco Sport soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Bronco Sport news and ongoing Ford news coverage.
