The Ford Mustang and Ford Mustang Mach-E both gained the brand new Ice White Appearance Package for the 2022 model year, marking the first time in 28 years that the former pony car was available with a white exterior and interior. However, for the 2023 model year, the Mach-E dropped the Ice White Appearance Package, making it a one-year-only offering, though the package was still available on the 2023 Mustang. However, it won’t be carrying over to the all-new, S650 generation 2024 Ford Mustang, sources familiar with the matter have told Ford Authority.
The Ice White Edition Appearance Package for the 2022-2023 Mustang was available on EcoBoost and GT Premium fastback models and includes Oxford White paint, iced-out taillamps, heritage-inspired Oxford White 19×9-inch wheels with machine-surfaced pockets, and Oxford White pony badges and fender badging. Inside, the special edition features Oxford White leather seat inserts and leather door panels, an aluminum appliqué on the dash, and white accent stitching on the door panels, center console, shifter boot, and headrests.
Aside from this deletion from the lineup, the 2024 Ford Mustang is also ditching its AM radio functionality, as Ford Authority recently reported, while also introducing the new Reduced Capacity Amplifier option in the event that a semiconductor chip shortage warrants it, which isn’t the case at the moment. The latter option affects only pony car’s B&O Sound System, which has 12 total speakers, including an in-trunk subwoofer, and is optional on EcoBoost Premium and GT Premium models, as well as standard equipment on the range-topping Dark Horse.
Otherwise, the new pony car offers more of pretty much everything when compared to its predecessor, including power and a new mirror-mounted USB port. However, all of these new features will come at a cost, as the 2024 Mustang is more expensive than the current-gen S550 across the board, as Ford Authority previously reported.
Those price increases differ depending on trim and configuration, ranging from $2,650 for the GT Premium to $3,650 for EcoBoost Premium models. That means the cheapest new pony car – the EcoBoost Fastback – costs $30,920, while the least expensive V8-powered model is the GT Fastback at $41,495. Meanwhile, as Ford Authority originally reported last month, the Dark Horse costs $57,970, which is $1,400 more than the outgoing Mach 1.

So sad too bad. If Ford had offered the ice package in the convertible (with a white canvas top) and the interior had been mostly all white, as in the past (1993), I would have bought one. The ice interior 2022-23 is more a penguin than ice.
Handle checks out.
