2024 Ford Ranger XLT In Cactus Gray: Real World Photos

Since its official reveal for select global markets last year, Ford Authority has spied a number of North American variants of the all-new, next-generation 2024 Ford Ranger out and about. That list includes a white camo-free pickup, an XLT with what could possibly be a chrome appearance package, a Lariat with rear bumper steps, a blue XLT, an XLT with what could be the Sport Appearance Package, and a trio of Ranger Raptor models including one finished in white, another in Hot Pepper Red, and one covered in heavy road salt. Now, Ford Authority has spotted yet another 2024 Ford Ranger XLT, this time painted in the familiar hue dubbed Cactus Gray.

This particular 2024 Ford Ranger XLT looks much like the previously-spied North American variants, but it is equipped with a few interesting features – including a unique front end design with what appears to be a skid plate underneath, along with unique wheels and more aggressive tires. As such, this pickup could be equipped with either the FX4 Off-Road Package or Tremor Off-Road Package, sans any sort of decals on the rear portion of the bed.

Otherwise, this 2024 Ford Ranger XLT looks a lot like every other version of the redesigned mid-sizer that we’ve seen thus far, with all-new exterior styling that includes C-clamp headlights and a twin-bar front grille design, as well as an overall styling profile that’s edgier than the current-gen Ranger.

Inside the cabin, the next-gen Ranger features a standard 10.1-inch or optional 12-inch infotainment screen, Sync 4, and a digital instrument cluster. The pickup continues to ride on the Ford T6 platform shared with the sixth-generation Ford Bronco – though it has received some updates. It’s unclear what engines might be available in the North American spec 2024 Ford Ranger at this time, but it’s likely that the new pickup will retain the turbocharged Ford 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost as its base powerplant.

As Ford Authority reported back in September 2021, the 2024 Ford Ranger is expected to enter production at the Ford Michigan Assembly Plant in May of 2023.

Looks good in this color. Kinda wish the side view cameras were integrated a little better. My mom’s Mazda has them in the mirror stalk vs the actual mirror housing like the Ford trucks, makes them literally invisible and functional even with mirrors folded. Just my little bit pick… overall this is probably the most flattering non-Raptor Gen-6 photo I’ve personally seen. Hoping it is still better in the flesh.

It’s gonna be class leading just like current Gen Ranger! Tops in all midsized truck shootouts & JD Powers / Consumer Reports. I don’t need those rating agencies tho..ive always bought Ford trucks. Can’t beat em!

Yeah! I trust the person who’s only bought from one company to be an expert on the entire segment, woo! Don’t be a brand-slave.

Definitely hyped for this beauty, though. The new Ranger looks great.

Would like to know why they are making these Rangers when they can’t even finish up with the Mavericks 2022 and 2023 orders.

Ford needs to step up their designs. There vehicles look old and boring.
I had 4 Rangers in a row before Ford stupidly discontinued it. Something is seriously missing in the design department at Ford.
      More aggressive designs please.
      I haven’t purchased a Ford in 20 years
With bad engineering issues and boring styling Ford has done everything they can to keep my away.

That’s too bad Rob. The current Gen Ranger is top of class. Says everyone. Not sure what you mean by bad engineering!? Lol Check what JD Powers & Consumer Reports says bout the Ranger. Love my ’21 Ranger Tremor. Best in class in every way. Try driving one! I drove all competition..I’m not always brand loyal..tho usually go w/Ford trucks as they hard to beat.

Huh? Makes zero sense. Maverick has a Tremor off rd edition! Also the hybrid model as base. It’s best selling for good reason! Want bigger you have the class leading Ranger truck. ‘Nuff said.

No side step on this model. I am a little vertically challenged and it would be a nice feature.

Why show us this now Ford? Its March and my local dealership tells you won’t be taking orders for this until October at the earliest. I was never able to order a ’23, your window to have ordered that model was very short. How about you build stuff people want instead of wasting 3 billion a year on failing EV market? Or go broke…up to you.

Remember when you could buy a Ford vehicle in the USA before they could overseas? Henry is rolling over in his grave.
