There was a Customer Satisfaction Program for this, 22N02. Wonder what it took to escalate it to a full on recall.
Thanks, Mike. I remember getting something from Ford last year and I thought it was a recall. They extended the brake warranty to 10 years and said that bringing it in wasn’t necessary unless a loss in braking power was occurring. Wish they’d recall it for the engine coolant intrusion issue instead (which I haven’t yet had). ’17 Fusion.
Like you, I also received a letter some time ago on this issue.
Asked the dealership who said ‘unless your brake pedal travels to the floor, don’t worry’.
This is all a bit unnerving as a brake hose is pretty basic stuff… losing your brakes is a major problem on so many levels.
Another Ford Quality is Job 1 recall.
