Ford’s transformation in Brazil following its decision to stop building vehicles in that country has come swiftly over the past couple of years, with the automaker revamping its lineup, launching Ford Pro, rolling out pickup and delivery services, and opening Quick Lane service centers in the South American country. With the FordPass app also steadily gaining in popularity, Ford owners in Brazil can now leverage that tool to access multiple vehicles within the same account, creating their own virtual garage in the process.
Ford owners who are interested in taking advantage of this new update must first create their virtual garage online at Ford Brazil’s website. After signing in to that site or registering if they don’t already have an account (existing FordPass users can login using the same information they access the app with), owners can add multiple vehicles to their profile.
Once this process is complete, the FordPass app will display all of a user’s vehicles, giving them quick and easy access to things like owner’s manuals, warranty information, and recalls, or make appointments for service or repairs, including those completed via the mobile service. Additionally, users can access video tutorials showing them how to use a vehicle’s features, with personalized information available for 2017+ model year Blue Oval vehicles via the 360 Ford Guide. Owners of older vehicles can still take advantage of this by searching for their specific model, too.
“The new logged-in area for Ford owners is another channel of personalized information for our customer, who can gather their cars and family in a single account,” said Vinicius Brassarola, Digital and CRM supervisor at Ford South America. “The goal is to offer a better digital experience on the platform he prefers, both through the application and the website.”
