Since ending its manufacturing operations in Brazil, Ford has been working on reinventing its lineup in that South American country, updates that included the launch of the Ford Transit, which immediately found a foothold in the market. That prompted The Blue Oval to add additional Transit variants to its Brazilian lineup, making it the fastest-growing commercial van there, posting double-digit sales increases and commanding significant market share in the process. Now, FoMoCo’s commercial vehicle push in Brazil is getting another boost following the official launch of Ford Pro.
“The launch of Ford Pro in Brazil reinforces our proposal to offer complete solutions for the commercial vehicle customer, focusing on their needs to deliver the lowest cost of ownership and the highest financial return for their business,” said Guillermo Lastra, director of Commercial Vehicles at Ford South America.
Already in operation in both the U.S. and Europe, Ford Pro is now headed to yet another part of the world, giving commercial customers a big boost in terms of services that can save then both time and money while also spurring growth for The Blue Oval. Ford Pro operates as its own, independent entity, squarely focused on the commercial vehicle market, from sales to service to analytics tools for fleets of all sizes.
“The customer also has the possibility of including the Ford Protect maintenance package, license plate, IPVA and modification costs, without changing the financing conditions of the vehicle,” said Matias Guimil, Strategy and Product Manager at Ford South America. “Another option is the FordGo subscription car service for individual or corporate customers, and the FordGo Fleet program, specific for fleet customers.”
