Since the bill’s passage, Ford Pro has been keen to tout the revised EV tax credits stemming from the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) of 2022 as hugely beneficial for commercial customers, as well as retail customers, suppliers, and the automaker itself. In fact, Ford Pro recently launched an information site designed to better help fleets understand their options in that regard, though concerns over one of its battery suppliers – CATL – and its Chinese roots could change some vehicles’ eligibility for those tax credits in the future. Regardless, Ford Pro is pushing forward, and has now teamed up with professional services firm Ernst & Young LLP to help customers navigate the intricacies of these new tax credits.
The purpose of this program is to help Ford Pro commercial customers understand Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) electric vehicle tax credits, and Ernst & Young LLP will aid in that mission by providing them with all of the pertinent information regarding both current tax credits and incentives revolving around EVs.
This complimentary service is open to all Ford commercial customers who have been assigned a Ford Fleet Identification Number (FIN). Customers who qualify for a FIN include those with fleets of 15 vehicles or more, or customers who are currently purchasing five vehicles. This information includes a one-time, 30-minute session for those eligible customers, who can schedule an appointment by visiting FordPro.com.
“Businesses tell us they want to better understand incentives to adopt EVs, including charging, especially as it pertains to the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act,” said Ted Cannis, Ford Pro CEO. “This is another way we’re expanding Ford Pro’s one-stop services to help commercial customers simplify and potentially lower the total cost of owning and operating their fleets.”
We’ll have more on this new partnership soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for ongoing Ford news coverage.
