We’ve certainly seen our fair share of cool, interesting, and unique Blue Oval vehicles, memorabilia, and parts go up for auction over the years – some more quirky than others. But the various auction sites around the web never fail to deliver even more, and now, we have yet another cool specimen worth checking out, as well as potentially bid on – this very interesting Ford roadster style go-kart, which is currently up for grabs at Bring a Trailer.
This unique go-kart was designed specifically to look like a miniature version of a hot-rodded 1934 Ford roadster, and is fresh of a total redo that took place just last year. As such, it certainly looks like new, with fresh coats of House of Kolor’s Candy Green covering its fiberglass flanks, new headlights and taillights, a plexiglass windscreen, a wire mesh grille, side mirrors, and polished wheels wrapped with SUNF tires measuring 145/70-6 up front and 18×9.00-10 in the rear.
That bodywork is mounted to a black-painted tubular steel chassis, which was also treated to a host of new parts including replacement bearings and fasteners, while a rear-mounted MCP hydraulic disc brake brings the kart to a stop in a hurry. Power comes from a brand new 212cc Predator single engine, which sends power to the rear wheels via a 30 Series torque converter and a chain drive setup.
Inside the tiny cabin, one will find a simple setup with a black vinyl bucket seat, door panels, marine-grade carpeting, a three-spoke steering wheel, and drilled foot pedals. The only problem, of course, is that this 1934 Ford roadster style go-kart isn’t exactly big enough for most adults, as it measures just 78 inches long, 30 inches wide, and 23 inches tall. Regardless, it would still make one heck of a nice display piece, or a far cooler alternative to the average plastic Power Wheels toy for kids interested in cars.
We’ll have more cool auction finds like this to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for non-stop Ford news coverage.
