Future Ford EV Teaser Debuts Europe’s New Ad Strategy: Video

As Ford prepares to convert its entire European passenger vehicle lineup to EVs by 2030 or sooner, the automaker is launching seven new all-electric models in that region by 2024 – two of which are crossovers built on Volkswagen’s MEB platform. The first – which may be called the Explorer Sport – is set to debut next week, and has been teased on multiple occasions thus far, giving us an idea of what to expect. Now, The Blue Oval has released another teaser giving us yet another glimpse at this future Ford EV – as well as the brand’s new advertising strategy for Europe, to boot.

Thanks to the fact that the camera is zoomed way out, it’s difficult to make out what, precisely, we’re looking at here, other than a crossover driving across various types of surfaces. Regardless, the automaker’s declaration of “prepare to see a different kind of Ford” refers to the company’s new advertising strategy in Europe, which will take a decidedly American approach as some remain skeptical that it can right the proverbial ship in that part of the world.

As for this future Ford EV, the automaker has previously shown off its large front Blue Oval badge, basic exterior shape, various other styling cues, and Ford Mustang Mach-E inspired interior design. However, those aren’t the only occasions we’ve gotten a glimpse of the new sporty crossover, as Ford Authority has spotted it out and about on two different occasions thus far, albeit covered in heavy camo. In January, the EV was spotted driving around public roads for the first time, and just last month, we got our first up close look at the new model, too.

We’ll have more on this future Ford EV soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for ongoing Ford news coverage.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
