Hailie Deegan, driver of the No. 13 NASCAR Ford F-150 race truck, will take the green flag from fifth place at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for Friday’s Truck Series race.
Deegan, who only recently took control of the No. 13 F-150 for ThorSport Racing, got around the 1.5-mile asphalt oval in 30.567 second at 176.661 mph. The 2023 season marks Deegan’s third fulltime effort in the NASCAR Truck Series, continuing her relationship with The Blue Oval’s performance division.
By comparison, Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 51 Chevy Silverado RST, set the pole in 30.222 seconds at 178.678 mph. In front of Deegan’s No. 13 F-150 will be the No. 98 F-150 of Ty Majeski, thanks to his fourth-best 30.524-second lap at 176.910. Zane Smith, who won the season-opening Truck Series race at Daytona, will start his No. 38 NASCAR Ford F-150 racer in seventh, thanks to his 30.709-second lap at 175.844 mph.
The green flag is scheduled to drop on the Truck Series race at Las Vegas at 9 p.m. ET on Friday, March 3rd, 2023.

I have been disgusted by and fought against the common habit of putting Chevrolet engines into Ford street and racing cars. Now Ford Motor Company sponsors that nonsense. Just terribly discouraging. What a soul crusher for Ford fans.
