Ford Transit discount offers are once again nonexistent in March 2023, as The Blue Oval is not offering any incentive toward the purchase or lease of the van this month. This seems to be an ongoing trend, as it is a rarity for Ford to offer any sort of discount or incentive toward its van line.
For the sake of context, below is a list outlining the discounts (or better yet, lack of discounts) for the Transit throughout 2022 as well as to date in 2023.
2022 Calendar Year
- April – no incentives
- May – no incentives
- June – no incentives
- July – no incentives
- August – no incentives
- September – no incentives
- October – no incentives
- November – no incentives
- December – $1,000 Bonus Cash for military and first responders
2023 Calendar Year
- January – no incentives
- February – no incentives
- March – no incentives
The lack of Ford Transit discount or incentive offers is again not surprising, considering that The Blue Oval’s van offering was once again dominant in its competitive segment throughout the 2022 calendar year. In fact, the Transit commanded a dominant 61 percent segment share, vastly outperforming both of its competitors in the segment. The ongoing supply chain crisis is likely another major factor for the lack of incentives.

As a reminder, the Ford Transit lineup gained the Transit Trail variant for the 2023 model year, which is an upfit-ready off-road-oriented van that caters to the van and outdoor life enthusiast. We expect the new Transit Trail, along with the rest of the Transit range, to continue driving high demand for Ford’s van offering, and in turn, could discourage The Blue Oval from offering any sort of Ford Transit discount or incentive.
