Second Ford’s Garage Restaurant Opens In Michigan

Ford’s Garage – a restaurant franchise filled with Blue Oval memorabilia – has been around since 2012, though it originated in Florida and wasn’t officially licensed to use Ford’s iconic Blue Oval logo until 2014. The first Dearborn-based location opened in 2017, and the very first Ford’s Garage built at a FoMoCo dealership opened in late 2020. Regardless, the franchise has enjoyed tremendous success in recent years, expanding rapidly with new locations planned for multiple states including Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Florida, to name just a few. Now, that fast growth continues as the newest Ford’s Garage has officially opened in Novi, Michigan, according to the Detroit Metro Times.

“I’m excited to share this fun, family-friendly concept with the Novi-area,” said Billy Downs, the owner of Downs Management, which owns and operates both this location and the Ford’s Garage in Dearborn. “The Novi-area has a rich history with Ford Motor Company. This concept gives us a unique opportunity to celebrate an important part of our local heritage.”

As is the case with other locations, this new franchise restaurant gives visitors a trip back in time with a 1920s service station theme complete with vintage gas pumps and Blue Oval vehicles. The menu is chock full of typical pub fare, with a focus on burgers and craft beer, though the new Novi location has some unique items to celebrate the area’s rich automotive history.

For example, in addition to the typical lineup of black angus and veggie burgers, the Novi Ford’s Garage location has a “Burgers of Fame” menu, which includes tasty vessels of meat named after some famous local folks including the Mayor of Novi, Bob Gatt, who is represented by “The Mushroom Swiss,” Novi High School Principal Nicole Carter with “The Patty Melt,” and Josh, Rachael, and Grunwald of the radio station 99.5 WYCD, with “The Black-N-Bleu.”
