Pony car fans certainly have their fair share of cool and unique Ford Mustang models to choose from at auction these days, including many from Roush Performance. Over the past few months, we’ve seen a number of interesting modern Mustangs pop up for sale, including a 2013 Roush Stage 3 model, a 2017 Roush Warrior coupe, a 2008 Roush Speedster, and a one-off retractable hardtop convertible built by Galpin Auto Sports for SEMA, just to name a few. Now, this modified 2010 Ford Mustang Roush 427R is up for grabs at Bring a Trailer, giving someone the chance to own yet another unique version of the S197-gen pony car.
This beautiful Kona Blue 2010 Ford Mustang Roush 427R was purchased new from Ken Grody Ford in Buena Park, California, and has remained in the possession of its original owner ever since – until it changes hands in a few days, at least. Regardless, they haven’t driven it much over the past decade-plus, as the car has just 11k miles showing on the odometer, and it’s in fantastic condition as a result.
This Mustang has all of the typical mods Roush installed from the get-go, including graphics and badging, white 20-inch wheels, unique front and rear fascias, a front splitter, a three-piece rear spoiler, side skirts, and rear quarter window louvers – but it’s also equipped with some upgrades such as an Alpine stereo system and vertical-lift doors, the latter of which give it more of an exotic vibe, indeed.
Otherwise, this Roush Mustang has the performance to match its looks, thanks to its supercharged Ford 4.6L V8 that’s been upgraded with a new intake, intercooler, radiator, exhaust, a 2.59-inch supercharger pulley, and engine management software, which sends power to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission and a 3.73-geared rear end.
Throw in a Roush sport brake kit and a sport-tuned suspension with upgraded front struts, rear shocks, and front and rear springs, and you’ve got a pretty enticing package that is guaranteed to turn heads everywhere it goes – if you’re into that sort of thing.
