Wagon Fans Should Bid On This 1990 Ford LTD Crown Victoria

Wagons were once the proverbial apple of America’s eye, a common sight on the nation’s highways as families embarked on their annual road trip. However, over the years, wagons gave way to crossovers and SUVs, though today, those types of vehicles have enjoyed a resurgence thanks to a surging collector car market. There, we’ve seen vehicles including a 10k-mile 1990 Ford Crown Victoria and 29k-mile 1991 Crown Vic wagon sell for solid money recently. Now, we have yet another pristine example to add to that growing list – this very nice 1990 Ford LTD Crown Victoria Country Squire wagon up for grabs at Bring a Trailer.

This particular 1990 Ford LTD Crown Victoria isn’t some ultra-low-mile example, but with just 86k on the clock, it certainly isn’t high for a vehicle of this age, either. Amazingly, it remained in the possession of its original owner until 2020, and now, it’s looking for a new home once again. Given how cool and nostalgic it is, we don’t doubt that the wood appliqué-clad wagon will have its fair share of suitors.

Finished in Light Crystal Blue Metallic and that aforementioned wood trim, this Crown Vic wagon certainly looks like the great American road trip vessel of choice, an enormous machine that’s in mostly excellent condition, save for a few minor flaws, along with a proper set of wire wheel covers and white wall tires.

The Shadow Blue vinyl interior is in equally sanitary condition, with plush seats and more wood trim, along with amenities such as a power driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, and a pair of bench seats in the rear for extra passenger carrying capacity.

This big old wagon gets down the road via a naturally-aspirated 5.0L Ford V8, which was originally rated to produce a rather modest 150 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. That power flows to the rear wheels via a a four-speed automatic transmission, and some recent service ensures that it’s good to go in that regard. And truthfully, who wouldn’t want to pile this thing full of people and head out to some far away destination?
