Designed from the get-go to be easy to customize, it’s no surprise that the sixth-generation Ford Bronco has thus far served as the blank canvas for all sorts of builds, as well as spawned a burgeoning aftermarket. Many of those mods come from The Blue Oval itself, which revealed performance calibrations for both the Ford 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost and Ford 2.7L V6 EcoBoost last September that were treated to some software updates a couple of months later. That also happens to be just one of the many mods performed on this 2021 Ford Bronco Black Diamond owned by YouTuber Sarah Greenwood of the Sarah -n- Tuned channel, too.
Greenwood is an Air Force veteran who has since transitioned to making all sorts of automotive-related content covering a number of makes and models, but her daily driver isn’t exempt from that process, either. Rather, her 2021 Ford Bronco has received its fair share of upgrades in recent months, and just got yet another round of parts and accessories, too.
First up, we get to see Greenwood install some new mud flaps to protect the flanks of her Bronco, which has already picked up a rock chip on the side. Next up, she adds an engine cover from a Ford Ranger, given the fact that the I-4 in her SUV doesn’t come with one from the factory, which hides the “ugly” engine quite well.
The biggest and best upgrade installed in this video, however, is the Ford Performance calibration for the four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, which raises output from 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque to 330 horsepower and 385 pound-feet – gains of 30 horsepower and 60 pound-feet, not to mention the ability to run 4.70 gears and 37×12.5R17 tires. The best part about all of these modifications is that they’re all incredibly easy to install, however, which is a big part of the appeal of modifying a newer Bronco in the first place.
We’ll have more on the Bronco soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Bronco news and continuous Ford news coverage.
