A bonafide smash hit since the second it launched, the Ford Maverick remains in short supply and high demand to this day, with many order holders waiting a significant amount of time to take delivery of their new compact pickup. With the 2023 model year well underway at this point, many will be looking to place an order for the coming model year, and now we know exactly when they’ll be able to do just that, as sources familiar with the matter have told Ford Authority that 2024 Ford Maverick order banks are currently set to open in July.
More specifically, 2024 Ford Maverick order banks are scheduled to open up on July 17th, 2023. Production of the 2024 Maverick is also expected to begin at the Hermosillo Assembly plant in Mexico on October 16th, 2023, though as always, these dates are subject to change – particularly as automakers like Ford continue to navigate various global supply chain issues.
As Ford Authority reported last month, 2023 Maverick production is set to end at the Hermosillo plant in October as well, so these dates align with that piece of information – as well as the timeline for the 2022 model year. Meanwhile, Ford is working to ramp up production of its popular pickup over the coming months, and will add a third shift at the Hermosillo plant in July as well, hiring 1,100 new direct workers and 5,000 indirect employees to support that upcoming expansion.
It’s currently unclear what changes The Blue Oval might have in store for the 2024 Ford Maverick, as that model’s second year of production saw a few tweaks including the introduction of the new Tremor Off-Road Package, Tremor Off-Road Appearance Package, and Black Appearance Package. The compact pickup did get a noticeable price hike across the board, however.
We’ll have more on the Maverick soon soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford Maverick news and comprehensive Ford news coverage.

Where’s my 2023 Maverick hybrid already?
Will Toyota get a vehicle for me before You?
You’d be sorry to turn dwn new Maverick! That’s the wise purchase.
How many are they actually making a month? Unlike Henry, Ford likes advertise models not make them in quantity. Worse, their dealers want your blood
It’s pretty simple to answer your own question. A little research goes s long way. They built just under 26,000 units in the first quarter.
How can you open up for 2024 orders when you can even deliver 2022 and 2023. We ordered our 2023 first week order bank opened last year. Still no build date. 2 emails thanking us for our patience. Supply contraints. If you can’t build current models no sense ordering for next year.
Did you read the article? They’re building 2023’s for another 6 months.
They don’t read articles just comment. Lots trolls. Very concerned w/Fords success! 💯
And….
Being read, that still does not relate nothing near an answer for when Tommy will receive the vehicle they ordered within the first week of the opening of the order bank for last year. It only states they are still making them for another 6 months. Notice, they do not state they will “FULFILL all orders” within the next six months.
It depends upon what was requested for the build. If you wanted something like an sunroof on the truck they might have 5 in stock but 50 people have ordered them. So 45 people are out of luck.
I ask the same question over and over… crazy thing is that if we go to South America we can get a Maverick. I ordered a XLT hybrid with Ford copilot 360 last July 2022……. I keep getting emails from Ford about CHIP shortages. Guess they need to buy from Samsung…….. they have an abundance of chips and are slashing their costs.. I wonder if I will ever see my “unicorn”…. If someone else comes out with a small truck hybrid I will likely jump!!!!!
I’m in Central Florida and the dealers are advertising slightly used Mavericks all over. How is this happening.
Get a new one. Used ones command very high pricing. Hold there values well like all Ford trucks.
be careful the used are more expensive than the new
You couldn’t order a MY 2023 in July last year. You ordered in September.
I order my first Maverick the first day of the 2023 opening and order my second on the last day before they close I received my second Maverick on January 15th 2023 and now next week they’re building my first Maverick figure that one out and they’re both identical , after waiting months after the vehicle is built it will take four to six weeks for the delivery the logistic behind the delivery it’s terrible I’m planning on ordering another for 2024 but it’s something else comes up similar before them I’m gone to the competition
You will get it. Got mine. Love it. Call your dealer make em do leg work.
Will there be an AWD hybrid in 2024? Will my 2023 be rolled over to a 2024?
Ford said no rollovers for 24
good i have a 22 might look into a 24 depends if its the same
Rumor has it the 24 Hybrid will include 4WD at some point. Ford said early on that they will not be rolling over 23 orders to 24’s. But that may change too…
How about Ford building what’s already ordered. They should be offering large discounts for those who have ordered Mavericks that still haven’t been built, they need to find other suppliers to fill these orders.
For anyone who has ordered before: When they say order banks open on 7/17.. does that mean you have to print out your order from ford.com and take it to a dealership on that day and have them submit the order for you? Or can the process be fully completed through ford.com?
You have to complete the order through a dealership.
Thanks!
Yes, I ordered my xlt through Jacky jones haysville NC. Keep getting the run around. I will not cancel my order. A lot of people did. ( There loss).
I recently changed something on my on my 2023 Ford Maverick i ordered they said the hard bed cover to be one of the items keep it from getting to production right away so I had them take it off that was for $1,100 I got my invoice back and it was only $100 cheaper than when I first placed the order they charged me think of that I had never been charged for before and said that’s a new current prices go figure now am I going to have to pay 2024 prices to get my truck
Shouldn’t they complete all the orders they have before they put in more orders???? So frustrating, where is my truck??
i felt the same in 22 i received mine in may of 22 after ordering in september 21, i love my xlt you will to
hey Guys just a heads up when you order your new ford maverick plan on it taking a year to get it I ordered mine in October of 2021 and picked it up in late September of 2022
You’re so lucky. My October 2021 order was delivered February 2023! 🤣
Have had 2 – 2023 XLs ordered since day one – dont believe Im gonna see them.
I am a retired senior Automotive Technician. Ford was my choice of vehicle. I never owned a new vehicle because I could fix pre-owned unit’s. In 2022 I felt I would treat myself to a new one. My 36 year career was in the ford dealership “family”. How frustrating it is to see how advanced we are in technology only to have slipped so far backward!
Sorry to hear of all the issues and delays with the Maverick everyone is having.
I ordered my 2022 Maverick XLT W/Luxury Package, AWD W/2.0, in Area 51 in August 2021 and received it on December 10th. I thought I had a long wait time.
Dealer didn’t try to jack me on the price either, paid MSRP.
Maverick only has 7500 miles at this point and is always garage kept.
Dealer wants me to sell it back to them for nearly what I paid for it.
THANKS I ORERD MINE LAST SEPT 2022 STILL WATING THANKS SAMMY V ??????
Ooof I put the wrong email address… Where did you order it from? Thx again!
Ford dealer here Clarksville, TN have a used 2022 Hybrid Maverick Lariat with 13,650 miles. The original sticker price listed at $31,755.00. With 13,650 miles on the 2022 the dealer is asking $40,719.00, that is $8,964.00 above the original sticker price. They got us where they want us.
dealers greedy
So if the Hemosillo plant is switching to 2024’s in October, does that mean they are confident that they can fill all the 2023 orders by then? (Sounds too easy…)
We received our FIRST Hybrid Mavrick (2022) about 7 months after we ordered. Ordered our SECOND when they opened the order banks for (2023) and we were just informed that it’s being shipped to our Ford dealer Jim Baier in Fort Madison, Iowa. WE love the Hybrid Mavrick AND Jim Baier Dealership…!!!!!! 10+ Super nice people
I am not sure how you are indicating that the order bank may open in July for the 2024 Maverick. I work at Ford and have good ties with regional and national sales director. They both said there is no timeline yet for the order bank opening up in July. This is simply not true. Not sure where you are getting your information but might want to verify your statements.
I’m new to the term order bank. For the 2024 Ford Maverick, when I see that the order banks will open on July 17 does that mean I should be ready to place my order through my local dealership at that time? How will I know exactly what to order before I can see what configurations, options, prices, etc. are available? Thanks.
“FORD MAVERICK HYBRID HEADING TO ARGENTINA” They need to fill the orders in the states first before shipping MAVERICKs overseas.
I plan on waiting for the $23,000 Toyota Stout Hybrid compact pickup truck. If I ordered a 2024 Hybrid Maverick in July it properly would take 6 to 12 mouths to receive it or not at all. Some are still waiting for their 2022 or 2023 Ford Mavericks. South America got theirs.
I too am waiting for the Toyota Stout. I have had good luck with Toyotas. Thee hundred fifty thousand miles on my 2009 base Tacoma. I like the looks of the Maverick, but the wait times are nuts.
Got mine here is Central New York From Burdick Ford.
Had a 5 minth wait as expected no jack up in price,,,,, nice
Hoping they build enough 2024 Hybrids 🙂
I missed the last ordering of the 2023 by two days, as I was out of town. Since then have been looking for one available, but with an $8000-$10000+ dealer mark-up I will not purchase. In fact I’ve seen $10000 mark-up on used Mavericks. When one considers you have to pay more on vehicle registrations forward, and more in sales tax at the point of purchase, this is crazy/obscene. Shows that Ford has no control over their dealers. I’ve been a loyal Ford owner for over 50 years. If things don’t change, I may wait for the Toyota equivalent.
I ordered mine last sept and I am not even getting an email thanking me for being patient. Hmmmm? The dealer who I gave a sizable deposit keeps saying back order problems and it maybe another year. Is there anyway to check with ford?
Ford didn’t want a down payment when I ordered a high breed last September, which I found a little disturbing, however they did just send me an email informing me that they would start production on my Maverick Aug. 28th and sent me the VIN!
My 2023 Maverick XLT hybrid was delivered on May 25th ,, ordered it last September.
Couple of months ago I checked Ford inventory on Mavericks and Sea Breeze Ford had one for 28K. When I called they had the balls to ask 38K, market adjustment. They should wear masks when robbing the public.
