When Ford announced that it would be launching seven new all-electric models in Europe by 2024 a little over a year ago, it noted that four of them would fall in the Transit family. Since then, the E-Transit has already gone on sale in that particular region, while the E-Transit Custom was revealed last May ahead of its production start this coming fall. Then, back in November, Ford revealed the more luxurious E-Tourneo Custom, which is designed to appeal to not only commercial customers, but retail ones as well. Now, it seems as if we won’t have to wait much longer to see the fourth new Transit-based EV, as the automaker’s UK-based arm has teased the Ford E-Transit Courier ahead of its debut later this week.

Along with this short, shadowy video, FoMoCo also revealed that the new Ford E-Transit Courier will be fully unveiled on April 6th, 2023, meaning that we have just a few more days to go before the all-electric van makes its official debut. The video itself reveals precious few details about the new E-Transit Courier, as one might expect, but we can clearly see some familiar styling cues including a slim LED light bar up front, a boxy profile, and a new taillight design out back, too.
Ford Authority last spied a new Transit Courier out testing back in January, this time with production-ready bodywork – a far cry from the Puma-like placeholder panel-laden van spotted in 2021. Soon, it will join a rapidly expanding European Blue Oval EV lineup that will include the all-new Ford Explorer EV, as well as another crossover riding on Volkswagen’s MEB platform – which may revive the Capri name when it debuts.
We’ll have more on the new E-Transit Courier soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford Transit news and ongoing Ford news coverage.

As one of the 5 non-commercial Transit Connect owners/enthusiasts in the US, I hope they bring it here. I love the small square cargo van form factor for hauling around outdoor gear, people, really everything.
I have a Maverick hybrid and Rivian on order, but this is what I really want as my commuter and utility vehicle.
I have a 2021 Transit Connect Titanium passenger van. This is a great vehicle…I am very interested in an all electric small van….as long as it isn’t made by Volkswagon…I do have a Maverick, but it is an ecoboost version….
