Ford has earned its fair share of recognition from Kelley Blue Book in recent months, with the Ford Mustang Mach-E EV crossover, Ford Bronco SUV, Ford F-150 Lightning EV pickup, and Ford Maverick compact pickup earning Best Resale Value Awards, while the Lightning, Maverick, and Ford Expedition all received Best Buy Awards from the same organization, too. Now, Ford styling – in general – has also won over KBB, as it has recognized that in its just-released 2023 Brand Image Awards.
Among all non-luxury brands, Ford was awarded “Best Car Styling Brand” in the 2023 Brand Image Awards, with the organization noting that “the superb Bronco and tidy Maverick are two terrific examples of Ford’s eye-catching style. Ford has a proud heritage of building iconic American vehicles, from its famous Mustang sports car to the best-selling F-150 full-size truck and GT supercar. As the Blue Oval moves away from building sedans, it’s put efforts behind the revived Ranger, family-friendly Explorer, and performance Edge ST. It is also betting on the Bronco off-roader’s return to challenge Jeep while pushing into the EV category with the groundbreaking Mustang Mach-E.”
To come up with the 2023 Brand Image Award winners, KBB derived data from its consumer automotive perception data that’s also used in the quarterly Brand Watch study. Notably, this is the first Brand Image Award win for Ford since 2018, and is also the first time in a decade that The Blue Oval has won the Best Car Styling Brand award, an honor that Dodge previously owned for the last four consecutive years.
“Kelley Blue Book’s Brand Image Awards celebrate the automakers capturing the most attention from new-car shoppers, which is quite a feat considering the increasingly crowded marketplace,” said Vanessa Ton, senior research and marketing intelligence manager at Cox Automotive.
