While automobiles have always been a hot entity in online auctions, we’re starting to see more and more memorabilia and other auto-related items pop up for sale, too. That includes a very cool illuminated Ford RS Cosworth sign that hit the auction block back in January, and now, this list continues to grow with another cool Blue Oval piece worth hanging on the wall – this illuminated Ford sign that’s currently up for grabs over at Bring a Trailer.
The auction listing doesn’t note the exact origin of this particular illuminated Blue Oval sign, but it does say that the seller acquired it back in 2018, and yet, has now apparently decided to part ways with it. The cool piece of kit measures in at 23 inches wide and nine inches tall, making it perfect for hanging in the garage, the man cave, basement bar, or any other room where one might want to show off their affinity for Ford Motor Company.
This particular sign features a frame made from aluminum, which is covered by a translucent acrylic face that’s a perfect replication of the iconic Ford Blue Oval logo. It’s internally illuminated by LED lights, bringing more attention to it and providing a little bit of jazz, and features a pre-drilled mounting hole, as well as a North American-style power cord and wall plug with a toggle switch, so it’s pretty much ready to mount and enjoy – at least for buyers in that particular part of the world.
While it’s pretty easy to be enticed by this very cool piece of Blue Oval memorabilia, it’s already in high demand it seems, with a current high bid of $1,500 as of this writing. That certainly seems like a lot of coin for something like this, and there are still six full days to go in the auction. Thus, if nothing else, we’ll just be keeping an eye on it to see how much this cool Ford sign ultimately sells for.
