No. 00 NASCAR Ford Tails Toyotas In Xfinity Martinsville April 2023: Video

Cole Custer’s No. 00 NASCAR Ford Mustang scored the Xfinity Series pole position for the race at Martinsville Speedway on April 15th, 2023, but he ultimately followed the taillights of a pair of Toyota TRD Supra race cars across the finish line.

Interestingly, Custer’s No. 00 Mustang was only able to lead five laps before he surrendered the top spot. In fact, he was the only Blue Oval racer to lead any laps on Saturday night, as the No. 20 Supra of John Hunter Nemechek put on a dominating performance around the half-mile oval, leading 198 of 250 laps overall.

Custer was able to wheel the No. 00 Mustang to a third-place finish, tailing the No. 20 Supra of Nemechek and the No. 18 Supra of Sammy Smith. The only other NASCAR Ford to finish in the top 10 was the No. 25 Mustang of Brett Moffit, who took home a ninth-place result.

To find the next-best Ford, look all the way in 18th to find the No. 39 Mustang of Ryan Sieg. He, Custer and Moffit were the only three NASCAR Ford teams to finish in the top 20 at Martinsville.

  1. Only 24 Chevy’s entered in the Xfinity, serious, if they entered another 10 or 15,those Toyotas and Fords would be in real trouble 😜 😉
