No. 38 NASCAR Ford F-150 Nabs Pole At Martinsville Spring 2023

Zane Smith, driver of the No. 38 NASCAR Ford F-150 race truck, earned the pole position during qualifying for the Truck Series race at Martinsville Speedway on April 14^th, 2023.

Smith wheeled the No. 38 F-150 around the half-mile asphalt oval in 19.797 seconds at 95.651 mph. He barely bested the No. 51 Chevy Silverado RST of Kyle Busch, who scored the second-best time of 19.282 seconds at 95.501 mph.

Ben Rhodes, driver of the No. 99 F-150 will start third, having set a time of 19.835 seconds, while the No. 11 Toyota TRD Tundra of Corey Heim will start fourth, thanks to his 19.843-second lap. The top five will be rounded out by Matt DiBenedetto in the No. 25 Silverado.

The next-best Blue Oval racer, the No. 88 NASCAR Ford F-150 of Matt Crafton, will start 11^th.

It’s worth noting that Smith is also racing in the Cup Series this weekend, driving the No. 51 Ford Mustang in place of Cody Ware, who has been suspended indefinitely from competition following his arrest earlier this week.

The Truck Series race will go green at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday, April 14^th, 2023.
