Joey Logano, driver of the No. 66 NASCAR Ford F-150, absolutely dominated the Truck Series race on the Bristol dirt track on April 8th, 2023.
Logano, who pilots the No. 22 NASCAR Ford Mustang fulltime in the Cup Series, took control of the No. 66 F-150 for a one-off race on the Bristol dirt. He went on to ditch the rest of the field, sweeping the first two stage wins and leading 138 of 150 laps in the event.
“My fun meter was pegged tonight,” said Logano after scoring his second Truck Series race of his career. “I had a lot of fun out here racing at Bristol. The dirt’s a lot of fun.”
He added, “They gave me a great race truck. We qualified good in the heat race and were able to drive to the lead pretty early in the race and were pretty much able to control it.”
Logano’s spotter for the Truck Series was Ryan Blaney, driver of the No. 12 Mustang in the Cup Series.
Ty Majeski, driver of the No. 98 NASCAR Ford F-150, meanwhile, ran second, and though he put up a valiant effort, he couldn’t reel in Logano’s No. 66 F-150.
“[Logano is] a two-time Cup champion for a reason,” Majeski said after the race. “Just happy we got ThorSport in Victory Lane. ThorSport deserves to be in Victory Lane – just wish it was us. Just one spot short.”
Majeski continues to lead the overall points in the No. 98 NASCAR Ford.

Ford truck powered by a GM Engine…Unreal Ford does this….Ford has sealed spec engines in its Ford Performance catalog…not good advertisement for the company…should pull out of this….or run there own brand of engine….
