Rockrider Racing Team Gains Ford As Co-Sponsor

Ford has sponsored all sorts of different kinds of events and entities across the entire globe in recent years, a list that includes the South American soccer tournament dubbed Conmebol Libertadores (“American Liberators’ Cup”), Expoagro – the largest open pit agroindustrial exhibition in South America, Tribe Gaming, and the Argentine Rugby Union, to name just a few. FoMoCo also recently rolled out a new campaign called “Park the Car,” which encourages Europeans to walk or bike rather than drive when possible to help cut down on traffic and pollution, all of which bodes well for the automaker’s latest sponsorship partner – Rockrider Racing Team.

Rockrider Racing Team is an elite, competitive cycling outfit that has won its fair share of mountain biking events in recent years, and it’s poised to participate in the upcoming Mountain Bike World Cup series, which starts this May in the Czech Republic and runs through October, when it will conclude in Canada. As a co-sponsor of the team, Ford will will receive access to exclusive events across the entire UCI Mountain Bike World Cup calendar.

“I am very happy and honored to welcome Ford,” said Samuel Roces, General Manager, Rockrider Ford Racing Team. “From our first exchanges, in view of our common enthusiasm for bringing the best to this sport, joining forces was an easy choice.”

“This new collaboration is further proof of Ford’s commitment to supporting high performance sports and driving innovation around the world,” added Louis-Carl Vignon, President of Ford France. “Performance, the spirit of adventure, and surpassing oneself are common values that we will carry throughout the competition. All Ford France employees are very enthusiastic about the idea of supporting the team and each of the seven athletes in their quest for victories in the most prestigious races.”
