We’ve certainly seen our fair share of cool, modern classic Ford sedans hit the auction block in recent months, a list that includes a 1990 Crown Victoria LX LTD, a wagon of the same vintage, and another wagon, this time a 1991 model with low miles on the clock. Now, that list continues to grow since this stunning 1988 Ford LTD Crown Victoria has gone up for grabs at Bring a Trailer, and it has just 29k original miles showing on the odometer, too.
Even better, this particular 1988 Ford LTD Crown Victoria was a true one-owner car until the seller acquired it this past March. The original owner clearly took fantastic care of the sedan over those years, as its Smoke paint looks like brand new save for a dent and some typical scratches, and it’s complemented perfectly by shiny chrome trim and a set of 15-inch wheels wrapped with 215/70 Uniroyal Tiger Paw AWP II narrow-whitewall tires.
Peek inside the cabin, and you’ll find an equally pristine blue cloth interior with plenty of woodgrain trim and amenities including a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a power-adjustable driver seat, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and door locks, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo system.
Mechanically speaking, this Crown Vic is powered by the naturally-aspirated Ford 5.0L V8, which was originally rated to produce a meager 150 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. That power flows to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission, while front disc and rear drum brakes provide stopping power. While it needs a bit of cosmetic work here and there and it’s leaking some fluids, this low-mile Blue Oval sedan certainly seems worthy of those fixes, given how special it is.
We’ll have more cool classics like this to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Crown Victoria news and ongoing Ford news coverage.

You could just melt into those seats. Super comfy.
I need that car…whats wrong with it ?? If it’s drivable..I will buy it…
From the times Ford produced real cars.
They are very comfortable seats front and rear. Also very dependable for that period.
Why can’t Ford and Lincoln offer “throwback” heritage editions with super plush interiors with super soft deep cut pile carpeting? The Aviator/ Navigator’s are screaming for this. People might actually “like” SUV’s.
Email me your number so i can buy a vehicle
My 88 is cleaner! Less miles too!
