The all-new North American 2024 Ford Ranger just debuted roughly two weeks ago, alongside its high-performance off-road counterpart, the Ranger Raptor. Order banks for the redesigned mid-size pickup are set to open tomorrow, as Ford Authority previously reported, with production scheduled to begin at the Michigan Assembly plant on August 7th, though as always, these dates are subject to change. Regardless, The Blue Oval just launched the 2024 Ford Ranger build and price configurator, revealing that the mid-size pickup has receive a price increase, but this isn’t just some regular old jump by any means.
2024 Ford Ranger MSRP | 2023 Ford Ranger MSRP | + / – 2023 Price | |

For starters, the 2024 Ford Ranger XL is $2,980 more expensive than the outgoing model, but as Ford Authority previously reported, the new pickup comes standard as a SuperCrew model with the STX Appearance Package, which adds a host of equipment including 17-inch silver-painted aluminum wheels, LED reflector headlamps, halogen fog lamps, a dampened tailgate, and premium cloth-covered bucket front seats.
The same rings true for the XLT and Lariat , which now comes standard with the Sport Appearance Package that adds 17-inch gray-painted aluminum wheels for XLT and 18-inch machined aluminum wheels with Magnetic pockets for Lariat, a black mesh grille with a gray-painted surround and gray bars, a gray-painted front fascia and rear bumper, a sport box decal, and gray-painted wheel lip moldings.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that the new Ranger is also equipped with some pretty big upgrades in terms of tech, such as the base XL’s 10.1-inch infotainment screen running Sync 4 and standard 8-inch digital instrument cluster, while higher-trim models can be had with a larger 12.4-inch cluster and 12-inch center screen. Thus, while the 2024 Ford Ranger is more expensive across the board than its predecessor, this is not straightforward jump, at least, which should come as somewhat of a consolation to prospective buyers.

No thanks only want a 2 door.
I don’t want the four door. My 2022 Ranger is a king cab. The four door’s back seat isn’t comfortable to get in and sit in anyway! $6000 more dollars would take me out of the Ranger market.
Why isn’t there a 4X4 XL? I don’t want anything fancy. I want a utilitarian truck!
It’s because the soccer dad segment and the luxury truck owners who like to pretend they’re gonna drive it through the beach sand in their next spear fishing adventure, are now more numerous than the people who just really need a truck as a work horse.
WOW, Big Bucks for the 24’Ranger, I’m sure am happy I bought my 22 Ranger 4×4 XLT Supercab, does everything I need it to do. I read the early rumors on Ford dropping the Supercab and decided to order the 22’Ranger-best decision I made and I saved a bundle of Cash too.
Consolation. This a typical farley screw up missing what people can afford and more importantly, want.
Ford went woke, I’ll sick with nonpolitical Toyota. Besides the Tacoma he as a 2 door
