The Ford Authority Take
Ford Argentina sales continued to expand with a new double-digit increase in April, with several models of the brand enjoying double and triple-digit increases. In fact, this performance is Ford’s fifth consecutive increase in the Argentine market.
In April, registrations were again led by the locally built Ford Ranger. The midsize pickup saw an increase of nearly 50 percent adding 610 units year-over-year, reinforcing its position as the brand’s best-selling model in the country. Also, the Ford Bronco Sport, F-Series and Mustang all had big triple-digit gains.
Meanwhile, almost all of Ford’s lineup of crossovers suffered a volume reduction during the month in Argentina. This includes the Ford EcoSport, Territory and Kuga, which were the most affected by the import ban imposed by the local government during April.
