Over the past few months, a bevy of Blue Oval products have launched in Mexico, including the Ford Lobo Raptor R (known as the Ford F-150 Raptor R in the U.S.), as well as the all-new Ford Ranger and Ranger Raptor. As for the Ford Bronco Sport, it’s been on sale in the country in which it’s manufactured for some time now, but now, the retro-themed Ford Bronco Sport Heritage is set to join the lineup as well, the automaker has announced.
The version of the Ford Bronco Sport Heritage headed to Mexico is identical to its U.S. counterpart, which means that on the outside, the rugged crossover features an Oxford white painted roof, a heritage grille with Race Red “Bronco” lettering, 17-inch aluminum heritage wheels, and bodyside stripes. Inside, the Heritage features heathered Navy Pier cloth seats with plaid inserts and Race Red and Robin’s Egg Blue accent stitching, a Navy Pier instrument panel, Oxford White accents on the bin and door ring, a Navy Pier microsuede center console, Race Red stitching on the armrests, and Navy Pier straps and Race Red zipper grips for the Molle panels.
Based on the Big Bend, the Heritage model is equipped with the turbocharged Ford 1.5L I-3 EcoBoost engine, H.O.S.S. system with increased ride height, uniquely tuned front struts with hydraulic rebound stops, 46-millimeter-diameter monotube rear shocks, antiroll bars, Terrain Management System, and five G.O.A.T. Modes. The Bronco Sport Heritage Edition is available in seven paint options including Robin’s Egg Blue.
More than just a one-year offering, the Bronco and Bronco Sport Heritage models are expected carry on for at least one more model year, as Ford Authority previously reported. In Mexico, the retro crossover starts out at $845,800 MXP ($48,354 USD) and is available to purchase now.
