The Ford F-150 Raptor has been a tremendously popular vehicle for over a decade to this point, and is in the midst of its third generation. However, all three gens still attract considerable interest on the used vehicle market as well, with many going up for auction on a regular basis and commanding solid money. Recently, that list includes a heavily-modified overlanding-focused build, as well as a custom pre-runner build. Now, we have yet another gem to add to this list, courtesy of Bring a Trailer – this modified 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor.
This particular 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor SuperCab is far from stock, which is quite evident from the outside, where its sports a black vinyl wrap, Advanced Fiberglass Concepts (ADV) wide-body fenders and bedsides, an SVC Offroad Baja front bumper, Rigid Industries driving lights, Baja Designs spotlights, a 30-inch Rigid light bar, an SVC Offroad Mojave rear bumper with an integrated receiver hitch and Rigid floodlights, and Krazy House Kustoms high-clearance tailpipe and dove-tail kits.
This Raptor rolls on a set of 17-inch Method 105 beadlock wheels wrapped with 37×12.5-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, with a spare mounted in the bed via an N-Fab horizontal rack. Underneath, the truck sits two inches higher in the front thanks to Eibach coil springs, while the rear sits one inch higher than stock courtesy of Deavers rear leaf springs. Additional modifications underneath include SVC Offroad upper control arms and tie rods, a Specialty Products Company caster/camber locking kit, and an Alcon Big Brake kit.
The F-150 Raptor’s twin-turbocharged Ford 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine has also been thoroughly upgraded with a Cobb Stage 2+ tuning kit, intake, and intercooler, as well as a Turbosmart blow-off valve. While some modified vehicles tend to turn off certain types of buyers, this 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is quite tastefully done – enhancing an already capable package – making it a potential outlier in that regard.
