No. 98 NASCAR Ford F-150 Can’t Catch Chevy At North Wilkesboro 2023: Video

Try as he might, the No. 98 NASCAR Ford F-150 race truck driven by Ty Majeski just didn’t have anything for the No. 7 Chevy Silverado RST of Kyle Larson for the Truck Series’ first race at North Wilkesboro in decades on May 20^th, 2023.

At the line, Majeski’s No. 98 NASCAR Ford was almost a full second behind Larson’s No. 7 Chevy.

“Yeah, we just missed it today,” Majeski said after the race. “Sometimes when you’re in the back with nothing to lose, you make gutsy calls, jumping on two tires there, and we were just able to hold off guys who put four tires on. So, a subpar day for us turned into a good finish.”

Matt Crafton was the only other NASCAR Ford to finish within the top 10, wheeling the No. 88 F-150 to a seventh-place result. Meanwhile, a dramatic wreck unfolded that swept the No. 38 F-150 of Zane Smith and the No. 99 F-150 of Ben Rhodes, relegating them to 32^nd and 33^rd, respectively. Prior to the crash, Smith’s No. 38 F-150 had been nabbed for speeding on Pit Road.
