Roush 2018-2023 Ford Mustang Active Exhaust System Out Now

Roush is a company that has long been associated with creating performance parts and entire turnkey builds centered around Blue Oval vehicles, perhaps none more recognizable than the Ford Mustang. Recently, the aftermarket outfit has expanded its catalog of pony car upgrades by adding a MagneRide suspension kit and a supercharger kit for the Ford 5.0L V8 Coyote powerplant, and now, it has added a new active exhaust system for the Ford Mustang, too.

2018-2023 Ford Mustang GT Roush Active Exhaust System 001

This new Roush exhaust system fits 2018-2023 Ford Mustang GT models equipped with active exhaust and the 5.0L Coyote engine, specifically. It’s designed to unleash some serious sound from that naturally-aspirated V8, giving it a more aggressive race-inspired tone, which is precisely what many pony car owners are looking for.

Roush’s new active exhaust is – like all of its products – designed using OE level engineering and is constructed from T-304 stainless steel to provide superior corrosion resistance. Roush utilized full mandrel bending to optimize airflow and reduce back pressure, which should unlock some extra power compared to the stock setup.

Designed to use the Mustang’s stock exhaust hangers and mounting points, this new exhaust system includes a pair of high-flow mufflers and quad polished 304 stainless-steel tips, and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. There’s no welding required, and everything one needs to install the kit comes in the box – a list that includes wiring, valves, and various pieces of hardware. Installing these new pipes is a true plug-and-play style job, making it a nice and easy upgrade for those wanting to unleash more sound from their newer GT, all for a retail price of $2,199.99.

  1. Roush wants as much for it’s axle back system as other manufacturers want for the entire cat back system for the same car. They sure are proud of that part that’s been on the shelves for years
