In recent months, we’ve seen a handful of high-performance Focus variants surface at various auction sites, including a pair of rare N2O models and a nicely-kept, bone stock 2002 Focus SVT. Now that the Focus is not only gone from the U.S. but is also on the chopping block across the entire globe, collector interest in the model is beginning to ramp up, and now, we have yet another nice example to add to the list – this very nice 2003 Ford Focus SVT up for grabs at Cars & Bids.
This 2003 Ford Focus SVT has just 25k miles on the odometer, and it certainly looks the part with mostly flawless Competition Orange paint, save for a couple of scratches and chips. The tires are a bit old with 2011 date codes, and there’s a scuff on the front bumper after the car suffered minor parking lot damage back in 2011, but otherwise, there just aren’t many flaws to note.
Otherwise, there is a lot to like about this 2003 Ford Focus SVT, including its optional European Appearance Package, which adds the aforementioned Competition Orange paint, a set of 17-inch 15-spoke alloy wheels, black leather upholstery, Recaro sport seats, a power sunroof, the Cold Weather Package, HID headlights, and the Audiophile sound system with a subwoofer.
On top of that, this Focus has all the requisite SVT goodies including a unique suspension setup and engine tuning, as well as the SVT body kit. Power comes from the Cosworth-tuned Ford 2.0L Zetec I-4 powerplant, in this guise sending 170 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. Loaded to the gills with options and in fantastic shape with low mileage, this Focus SVT has already conjured up quite a bit of interest at auction with three days to go before the hammer falls.
We’ll have more cool auction finds like this to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Focus news and continuous Ford news coverage.

So the car haven’t been driven for about ten years, o’ou.. Loox good though. Here in Europe the 170 hp Mk1 model was called Focus ST.
Makes it all the way to the end with a good article to only ruin it describing the engine as being turbocharged.
Turbo Focus didn’t appear until gen2 outside the U.S. and gen3 in the U.S.
